SUMMARY:
Recon banks daily, input recon items, allocate payments and expenses.
POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a dynamic experienced individual who can take charge and manage a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cash Book:
• Oversee all deposits and entries thereof (Cash cheques and credit cards)
• Oversee of all receipts (Admin deposits and control receipts)
• Processing of all manual cheques/ EFT’s
• To enter all direct bank expenses Eg. Bank charges
• To do bank reconciliation to bank statement.
• Balance General Ledger Accounts E.g. clearing & suspense accounts, overs and unders.
Accounts Receivable:
• Debtor applications
• Debtors follow up and statements
• Balance sub ledger to ledger
• Print statements and all reports.
• Attend to queries
Various:
• Managing the cashbook clerks
• Training and developing the cashbook clerk
• Perform any other tasks as required by Senior Management to ensure the continued smooth operation of the company and to meet the company aim of high standards and high customer service.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Finance qualification essential
- 3-5 year cashbook experience
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to multi task & prioritise workload
- Detail orientated
- Highly accurate
- Planning and Organising skills
- Self-starter & shows initiative
- PC literacy (Intermediate level MS office, Great Plains experience Beneficial)
