SUMMARY:
A Caretaker is needed to attend to tenants matters, cleaning, security and other operations of the shopping centre

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties
Monthly
  • Readings: water and electricity: 20th each month (when required)
  • Written reports on:
  • Cleaning
  • Security
  • Maintenance
  • Informal traders
  • Taxi activities
  • Assist in managing occupation and evacuation of premises by tenants
Weekly
  • Sunday: surprise after hour visits to check on security
  • Saturday/Sunday: Surprise visits to check on security and security
Daily
  • Check that security and cleaning are on duty and duties are done as per the Service Level Agreement
  • Attend immediately to any matter/event that took place during the security night shift which was recorded in the OB
  • Physical inspection of the property to detect any matter that may require maintenance/attention
  • Check on any contractor on site that the minimum OHS is compiled with and is informed in what work is to be done.
  • Risk management inspection of tenants:
  • Determine where risk is apparent
  • Record that in risk register
  • Follow up to ensure compliance
  • Assist in getting legal document and any other document signed by tenants
  • Assist in any other matter that may require assistance.
  • Attending to tenants’ matters, cleaning, security, and other operations on the property
  • Utilize office space to carry out duties and where there are no offices, caretaker will use available vacant units.
Minimum Requirements
  • NQF Level or ABET Level 4
  • 1 year experience in a similar position.
  • Reside in KwaMashu area
