SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Capacity Building Mentor for a 2-year contract role, based in East London, Eastern Cape.
POSITION INFO:
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
- Degree in Public Health, Nursing, Social Sciences or HRM
- 5 years training and development experience in public health programs in an NGO setting
- Accredited training moderator and assessor with diverse experience
- SDF certification
- Experience with HIV/AIDS/TB training and program implementation desirable
- Valid drivers license and willing to travel extensively
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:- Coordinate and implement coaching and mentoring support and implement annual mentoring program plan
- Identify coaching and mentoring needs
- Point of contact for any issues in the relationship between mentor and mentee
- Ensure mentoring program is working as intended and track its progress
- Ensure relevant materials and briefings are correct
- Identify, evaluate and propose solutions to program areas that need attention and keep informed of current research and information relevant to the program
- Promote and make arrangements for program events
- Conduct routine and on the spot mentoring, coaching and supporting supervision
- Develop coaching and mentoring policies and structure
- Develop coaching and mentoring tools and software
- Develop, maintain and manage database of organizations
- Conduct evaluation, review program guidelines and make appropriate guidelines
- Participate in training and provide post ongoing training support
