SUMMARY:
We are looking for an immediately available Cashbook Clerk in Cape Town (CBD) for a multinational customer clearing, freight forwarding and ships agency with offices in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and Walvis Bay.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

DUTIES:

Cashbook administration
Load payments on banking platform
Ensure payments and documents are properly authorised
Process debit orders
Reconcile Foreign currency and Rand cashbook daily
Process bank charges daily
Convert foreign funds to Rand in line with TOG FX and Hedging strategy
Update, maintain and reconcile foreign and Rand cash books
Process bank account charges daily
Confirm incoming funds via I-trade
Submit VAT forms on SARS e-filing
Load supplier invoices on SARS e-filing
Issue, replenish and reconcile petty cash
Ensure monthly reports are done and submitted timeously
Facilitate pick up of fuel cards
Process interest accruals

REQUIREMENTS:

Matric
Basic Accounting
Diploma / Certificate in relevant field
Knowledge of Debtors, Creditors & VAT Rules
Advanced Excel
Invoicing experience (non-negotiable)
