POSITION INFO:

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Trainer to join our dynamic team

JOB ROLE

The main purpose of the Training Officer is to monitor and facilitate  knowledge acquisition and reporting on the effectiveness of programmes and interventions in   accomplishing long-term skills developmental goals/objectives

To implement and deliver relevant training interventions which will address skills shortage and create a pool of employable  graduates with ICT skills needed in marketplace

DUTIES

Operational Result Management

o          Offer ICT training to delegates at the ICT Academy that will                  translate towards the necessary ICT qualification.

o          Administer training according to National and International                    standards.

o          Drive the development and implementation of the annual                      training strategy and align to IT Best practices.

o          Create and implement a standard training request and                          implementation approach to ensure the correct prioritization of              and standardisation of training initiatives and processes for                    optimal results.

o          Effectively manage training nationally.

o          Identify the barriers to implementing skills acquired in training              interventions and consult with ICT Academy management                    about the impact and plans to remove such barriers.

o          Manage business relationships regarding training efficiency.

o          Provide relevant training interventions within the                                  specified/approved budget.

o          Assist with process and system training when required.

o          Contribute actively towards delegate work readiness and                      growth opportunities.

o          Source new & relevant courses and course material to ensure                lessons remain current in terms of industry trends.

o          Compile and update training schedules, learner attendance                    records and training reports.

o          Work with the relevant teams to facilitate workplace rotations                as per sett Seta requirements, where required.

o          Deliverer training in the corporate environment in technical                   and soft skill topics.

o          Conduct, report on and manage all assessments related to                    approved MICT Seta learning Programs.

o          Where required, provide assessment and/or moderation for                  assessed learning programs as per MICT SETA requirement.

o          Prepare delegates for international certification including                        training, examination preparation and exam bookings.

o          Deliver CCNA/CCNA CyberOps /Fortinet, Cisco DevNet, and                    CompTIA Pentest+ training

o          Deliver both virtually and in person training

o          Provide input on rapidly evolving training content

o          Develop and maintain schedules and reporting in line with                    customer expectations

o          Co-ordinate the security and Cisco networking academy stream

o          Assess MICT Seta Technical Support qualification

o          Experience in managing and training of Cisco CCNA, CyberOps              and DevNet courses through the networking Academy platform.

o          Experience delivering Fortinet NSE 4 training and using Fortinet              platform.

o          Engineer-level understanding of security/networking concepts

o          CompTIA Pentest+, CCNA, CCNA CyberOps, DevNet and                        Fortinet NSE4 certified or working towards.

o          Certified MICT Seta constituent assessor 

o          Linux proficiency

o          Excellent spoken and written English

o          Proficiency in Microsoft office 365

o          Proficiency in working on virtual meeting platforms

Relationship Management

o          Ensure student relations management.

o          Liaise with ICT Academy partners to ensure alignment and to                improve escalated operational issues.

o          Participate in customer engagement and feedback sessions as                scheduled.

Ad Hoc Tasks

o          Participate in team structures within ICT Academy.

o          Participate in student counselling and mentoring.

o          Provide subject matter guidance on new projects.

REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 relegant degree or Equivalent IT certification

ICDL, A+, N+ & Security+ qualification (compulsory minimum)

At least 2 years’ experience in creating and delivering training, ideally in technical and soft skill    topics

MICT SETA constituent assessor qualification

MICT SETA constituent moderator qualification

Good knowledge of SAQA, QTCO and SETA structures and the Skills

Relevant international ICT certifications or working towards

Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
