CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGER (CRM): INVESTMENT OPERATIONS – Cape Town

R480 000 to R550 000 Per Annum plus Performance Based Bonus

Innovative Asset Management firm is currently recruiting within their dynamic CRM Team.

One would describe you as being highly meticulous, intelligent, strong attention to detail and highly process driven with strong fund administration experience /technical accounting skills and the ability to find innovate client solutions whilst working autonomously as well as a member of the team.  You are deadline driven with a strong sense of urgency.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To ensure that the fund administration is undertaken accurately and within the set time constraints and provide daily support to the Investment teams, Analysts, Investment Risk and Portfolio Managers. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Client flows – timeous processing and administration.
• New client take-on – full onboarding and execution of client take on.
• Transitions and Partial Take-ons and take-offs - systems / transaction processing, liaising with administrators, transition managers and or clients.
• Daily Performance checking/review and reporting, liaising with Investment Risk team.
• Client Cash Management – daily executions of money market transactions.     
• Cash management - co-ordination/administration, including electronic banking.
• Investments in to Pooled products - instructions and administration reconciliation.
• Daily data monitoring, review and co-ordination with data support team and Business Analyst.
• Monthly and quarterly reporting review and distribution to all clients.
• Monthly management account and amortisation schedule reviews of Private Market funds.
• Co-ordinate annual financial audit for Private Markets funds.
• Client Audit certificates review.
• Preparation, review and distribution of:
• Quarterly SARB reporting.
• Reg 28 and Reg 30 reporting
• C48 Reporting
• Bank/Scrip Recons – review and follow up on query resolution.
• Database daily maintenance/updates and enhancement review.
• Annual procedure documentation review & maintenance.
• Management and performance fee calculations, invoicing and processing of payments.
• Monitoring of outsourced administration.
• Monitoring of Unit Trust and Life administration.
• Equity, Derivative, Fixed Income, Money Market, International trade monitoring.
• Proxy Voting oversight.
• Corporate Action review and co-ordination with Portfolio Managers and administrators.
• Maintain 3rd party relationships (Administrators, Brokers, Custodians, Consultants)

Qualification, Skills and Experience required:

• Relevant B. Com Honours Degree / Relevant Finance or Investment Degree
• Good experience in Traditional funds and private equity fund administration
• 4-5 Years demonstrable experience within the financial services industry (experience investment consulting, fund management, or asset management) including experience of investment report backs to clients
• Technical knowledge of Investments, encompassing knowledge of performance and positioning of funds
• Exposure to Reg 28 and Reg 30
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Proficient with MS Excel i.e., Power Queries, Macro Writing, V-look ups and Pivot tables
• Experience with Unit Trusts (Advantageous)
