CUSTOMER QUALITY ENGINEER – ATLANTIS, Western Cape

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Formulate, maintain and control of the written Procedures & Customer Specific Processes
• Policies and any other documentation relating to the Quality Department
• Develop, implement, and maintain Audit Schedule / Matrix
• Participate and maintain customer audits
• Organizing and participating in Quality System Audits
• Formulate and follow-up audit report findings and actions
• Participate and maintain Quality Concern Process including support to process owners
• Communicate to the customer, suppliers as well as internally on 8D actions
• Participate and control sorting actions at the customer as well as internally
• Assist in the implementation of new quality systems
• Provide Quality System support to Engineering, Production and Receiving Inspection, Material Control and Safe
• Launch Activities
• Participate in relevant HSE requirements as per the Management System
• Formulate, Improve and Maintain Customer warranty process as per Global Process
• Effective communication externally and internally relating to Quality Concerns
• Spearhead and participate in Quality investigations to determine root cause analysis resulting in effective actions
• Participate in analyzing data gathered in order to establish trends, systemic failures and alike
• Formulate monthly data from customer, internal and suppliers monthly reporting
• Review processes (COP) on frequent intervals for optimization and improvements
• Promote and spearhead quality work groups on the shop floor
• Adherence and administration of budgetary requirements within the plant
• Attend and participate in project, engineering as well as other required meetings
• Participate in daily meetings i.e., Fast Response, 8D problem solving and Audits
• Facilitate in internal and external sorting activities as well as cost control

REQUIREMENTS:  

• Relevant Technical Qualification BTech or equivalent
• 10 Years stable and proven Quality Assurance experience gained within the automotive parts or components and / or manufacturing / engineering industry
• Knowledge of relevant Quality Assurance Auditing to ISO / VDA 6.3, TS 16949, ISO 14001 (Systems and Processes)
• Proficiency on MS office
• Working knowledge of SAP is essential
• Attention to root cause analysis
• Strong analytical skills (MSA and Capability Studies)
• Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license
