CREDITORS CLERK - GERMISTON

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Junior Creditors Clerk to assist in a busy accounts department.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• Grade 12/ equivalent

 Experience and Requirements:

• 3 or more years working experience as a Creditor’s Clerk to perform the full function on Syspro
• Must have dealt with a large Creditor’s Book
• Good knowledge of clerical accounting practices
• Good communication skills
• Be efficient and able to maintain confidentiality
• Able to work under pressure
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
• Excellent time management and reporting skills
• Advanced Computer skills on Excel Spreadsheets and Syspro (this is not negotiable)
• Have reliable transport
• Reside close to Germiston
• A clear ITC and Criminal record
• A non- smoker
• A stable work record and have contactable references

 Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct various finance administration
• Contact suppliers for outstanding invoices/statements
• Assist in processing supplier invoices
• Assist in resolving supplier queries/ reconciling items
• Assist with customer queries
• Contacting Customers to follow up on payments and remittances
• Distributing Customer statements, invoices & POD’s
• Obtain Customer confirmation of expected month end payments
• Obtain credit insurance confirmations for new/existing Customers
• Ensure filing is up to date and properly indexed
• Reconciling of Creditors
• Matching and batching of invoices
• Preparing payments
