CREDIT CONTROLLER (MIDRAND)

SUMMARY:
Perform various functions, including but not limited to ensuring that customers pay in accordance with the agreed credit terms and resolving queries and customer requests.

POSITION INFO:

PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Credit Application approvals and ongoing vetting of credit limits
• Monitor and release blocked orders as a high priority to ensure continued excellent customer service.
• Payment Allocations to be completed within set turnaround times to ensure we remain within our delivery promise
• Manage Account Queries. Respond timeously & accurately to internal & external account queries received through all business channels.
• Answer telephones and respond to customer requests in accordance with set Quality and Performance Levels and within agreed service targets.
• Collection of Overdue

-          Contact customers regularly as per agreed targets

-          Follow up on non-payments

-          All overdue accounts to be placed on hold as per company policy.

-          Send out dunning letters as per company policy

-          Age analysis is printed, interpreted & actioned throughout the month

• Adjustment Journals & Credit Notes. Ensure journals and credit notes are accurate and authorised in accordance with the delegation of authority.
• Recommend Customers for handover/collection
• Record Keeping Notes/customer records must be digitally maintained in the SAP system as per company policy and procedures and in conformance to all legal requirements for document storage.
• Ongoing communication & collaboration with other departments

-          Inform management of possible risks/problems

• Other duties as assigned

-          Assist with any other functions within the department as assigned by your Manager.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 and studying toward or have obtained a formal Credit Management qualification - Essential
• Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification in business - Advantageous
• 2- 5 years credit control experience
• Ability to manage difficult customer situations, to respond promptly to the needs of customers, and provide feedback to improve service.
• SAP CRM experience would be beneficial
