COMPRESSOR / BLOWER WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN

Duties:

Technical

• Be able to read and select correct technical drawings
• Execute stripping with special required tools
• Be able to do root cause analysis on failures
• Execute preparation and assembly
• Be able to use calibrated measuring equipment to ensure quality

Spares

• Identify all spares correctly according to technical drawings and part lists
• Ensure correct handling of spares and fitment thereof
• Understand the specific functions and materials of the spares

Admin

• Ensure that weekly time sheets are filled in correctly and timeously
• Ensure correct and up to date documentation is received to do the required job as per the specific SOP’s
• Compile full Damage report understanding different failure processes
• Complete Assessments accurately and cost effectively for the clients
• Complete Clearance reports accurately
• Liaise with Superiors on repair status

Workshop and tools

• Maintain and take responsibility of complete workshop and tools
• Use initiative to make sustainable tools to improve efficiency
• Abide to Housekeeping standards

Safety

• Comply Safety Rules and Operating Procedures

Requirements:

• Trade Certificate Fitter
• Good bill of health
• Computer literacy (e-mail and Excel)
• No criminal record
• Able and willing to do occasional overtime
