CNC operator/ setter

Salary:
Negotiable.
 
Nature of employment:
The successful incumbent will be employed on a permanent basis after completion of a probationary period.
    
Experience:
The successful incumbent must possess at least 1 (one) years’ experience in setting and operating of CNC lathes and milling machines.
 
Formal qualifications:

• Grade 12 or N3 with Mathematics (a technical qualification would be beneficial)
• Certificate or diploma in engineering will be advantageous
• Prior knowledge of and experience on HAAS ST10Y, UMC750 and SL10 will be advantageous.
• Valid driving license code 08
• A valid Turner Certificate
• A valid medical certificate certifying the incumbent’s fitness status to work in a mechanical environment

      Responsibilities

• Applying Haas programming and operating
• Set-up and operate CNC machines according to specifications
• Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company
• Oversee the machines while they execute tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results
• Ability to read and understand machines and drawings
• Enforcement of quality procedures and processes
• Managing and measuring instruments and hand tools
• Ensure machines are maintained and in a good, safe operational condition
• Proficient in reading programmes and understanding the outcome and functionality of a CNC machine
• Understanding CNC tooling
