CNC Programmer

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
An industry leader in the mechanical manufacturing sector, based in Potchefstroom, North-West, is recruiting for an experienced and skilled CNC Programmer and Setter
Salary: 
Negotiable

Nature of employment:
The successful incumbent will be employed on a permanent basis after completion of a probationary period.

Experience:
The successful incumbent must possess at least five years of relevant experience in engineering.

Formal qualifications:

• Grade 12 (a technical qualification would be beneficial)
• Certificate or diploma in engineering will be advantageous
• Valid driving licence (Code 8)
• A valid Turner Certificate
• A valid medical certificate certifying the imcumbent''s fitness status to work in a mechanical environment

Responsibilities:

• Applying Fanuk, Mazak and Haas programming and operating
• Set-up and operate CNC machines according to specifications
• Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company
• Oversee the machines while they execute tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results
• Ability to read and understand machines and drawings
• Enforcement of quality procedures and processes
• Managing and measuring instruments and hand tools
• Ensure machines are maintained and in a good, safe operational condition
