SUMMARY:
My client is looking for a CNC Machinist (Setting and Programming) in North West

JOB DESCRIPTION:

CNC SETTING AND PROGRAMMING ESSENTIAL

Key Performance Area:


  • Manufacture / machine and modify Tools, Jigs and Dies to supply the internal/external customer with the recquired production and according to standards.

Knowledge & skills required:

  • Have a good understanding of different types of CNC operations (Function).
  • Ensure that tools are manufactured/machine within company meet Quality Standards and / or according to relevant works instruction.
  • Must be able to write small programmes within the controller, be able to set up jobs on machine independantly, able to read and analyse 3D and 2D drawings.
  • Clear understanding of machine speed and feed.
  • Participate actively in departmental team meetings, prioritize work allocated for machining.
  • Problem solving.
  • Self driven.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience Required:

  • Grade 12 / N3
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years Toolroom experience.
  • CNC lathe (Haas or Fanuc Controls)
  • CNC Programming (Masteram or Edgemcam or simular)
  • Spark eroding (EDM)
  • Wire cutting
  • Manual milling
  • Manual lathe
