CNC Lathe Programmer, Setter & Operator

SUMMARY:
Engineering client based in Jet Park requires a CNC Lathe Programmer, Setter & Operator for a 1 year contract (3 month probation) with minimum 5 years  hands on Fanuc Control Programming and set up experience with own transport

POSITION INFO:
ESSENTIAL

• Manual program and setup experience
• Minimum 5-7 years hands on Fanuc Control Programming and setup experience
• Minimum 5-7 years CNC Lathe experience
• Micrometre experience & familiar with measuring equipment
• Must be fluent in English - good communication skills
• Must have own transport
• Must reside within 30 - 30 km radius from the Jet Park area
• Basic knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Programming/Setting/Operating of CNC Lathe machines
Target 84.5% machine efficiency on a calculated monthly hour (including overtime)
Keeping CNC Lathe machines and work areas clean
Weekly maintenance to be done on machines
Daily setup of tooling and material required for the day''s planning to be organized on the designated trolleys supplied (to ensure tooling and material is available for the daily production)
All machining data to be captured (Use timing clock supplied)
NB: Setup sheets will be completed with the picture of the Job machined, picture of the setup used, the setup and program will include tooling used, with "tool length", speed and feeds, program number, name and part number, and to be labelled "Proved" or "Edited" once program has been run

This is NOT an opportunity to learn programming after doing a programming course

Must be able to work well under pressure, be educated and must have sound common sense

Work scope also require multiple setups for jobs per day, which may require new programs to be written daily
