Are you skilled in the art of flame cutting and have a steady hand? We are seeking a Flame Cutting Device Operator to join our client’s team and play a crucial role in our metal fabrication process.

- Previous experience operating a handheld flame cutting device is preferred
- Knowledge of metal types and their respective cutting requirements
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

- Physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy materials and equipment
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate Handheld Flame Cutting Device: Safely and proficiently use a handheld flame cutting device to cut, trim, and shape metal materials in accordance with project requirements
- Quality Control: Ensure the quality and precision of cuts, paying close attention to specifications, dimensions, and angles
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries. Properly handle and store cutting equipment
- Material Handling: Handle and position metal workpieces, ensuring they are securely clamped and aligned for accurate cuts
- Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on the cutting equipment, such as changing tips and cleaning, to ensure optimal performance
- Communication: Collaborate with team members, including supervisors and fabricators, to ensure project requirements are met and adjustments are made as needed
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including the types and quantities of materials used and time spent on each task
