Job Description
The field Guide will be required to guide guests, on foot and by vehicle, providing a holistic safari experience, as well as actively assist the Safari department with the administrative operation of departments and mentorship/leadership of the field guides.
Your roles and responsibilities will be as follows: Field Guiding and give guest introductory and safety orientations, Conduct guided game drives and guided interpretive bushwalks with guests, Basic interpretation and identification of spoor, Assist trackers in locating game through the art of tracking, To facilitate and assist with guest queries and requests, Set up morning and evening game drive drink stops, Guest transfers to/from the lodge. Basic vehicle and equipment care maintenance, Standby functions on a rotational basis, assist in Incident Management in the event of medical emergency, fire, flood, lodge evacuation etc.
Qualifications
- Matric
- FGASA Lvl 2 (3 Advantageous)
- 3 Years experience
Skills
Minimum 2 years experience. Valid First Aid certificate. Drivers and pdp license. Excellent Communication skills. Team player with team management skills.
