Job Description
You will be responsible for the following duties: Daily inspection of the Marina and ensure that the boats and jetties are properly secured and afloat, the availability of the boat covers, check security feedback, water and power supply and general hygiene of the Marina area, Manage the boat operators and ensure that they are on standby and have boats ready for use; boats are clean and equipped with safety gears, availability of fuel and boat engines are in good operating condition, Mechanically repairs and maintain company boats by ordering spare parts, oils, and lubricants, annual servicing, regular upkeep and maintenance, Perform the boat body repairs that are glass fiber work and painting, Maintain the boat trip logbook including the passage number, destination, fuel consumption, departure time and return, Upkeep jetties to ensure their safety, select height adjustment, afloat and painted, Carry out regular staff training and ensure that the boat operators are capable of operating various types of vessels within the marina, familiarize the boat operators with various operating engine types, make them aware of maritime law regarding boat handling , safety procedures and equipment and ensure that marina staff comply to marina standards of procedures, Assist Accounts with collection of annual docking fees from Marina members. You will be reporting to the Assistant General Manager/ General Manager daily.
Qualifications
Captain skippers Certificate from Training center for Seamen. Glass fiber technician by trade certificate. Procedure Training from national sea rescue institute.
Skills
5 years work experience in the related field, Well organized, have an eye for detail and creativity, excellent time management, interpersonal and communications skills, ability to multitask, exceptional Customer-Service Skills, must be well groomed and maintain impeccable hygiene standards, effective technical skills, ability to work under pressure, problem-solving skills, commercial awareness, team working skills.
