Our client in Logistics is seeking a C&F Controller to join their team.
The purpose of the position is to deliver a complete and accurate set of documents by controlling and managing internal and control external processes to meet the client’s documentation needs
Location: Cape Town or Port Elizabeth
Job type: Permanent – on site
Duties and Responsibilities
- Determine and agree with client documentation requirements and implement
- SI Submissions and confirm submissions
- Verify correctness of weights, mates and other relevant information prior to any submission instructions
- Initiate manage and control internal processes
- Control and monitor processes to ensure timeous dispatch of documents
- Ensure accuracy of control sheets for invoicing
- Client Communication and documentation arrangements
- Ensure client information stays updated
- Inform client of any additional / new requirements per market or document
- Request dummy or chase actual container numbers for submission
- Select required statutory and courier documents on control sheet
- Apply for COD’s for containers on-board vessel and initiate internal processes
- Prepare letter of credit documents as per requirements
- Send clear and complete courier instructions to relevant cross port specialist desks
- Arrange Telex releases after bill of lading has been released
- Finalise client files once waybill is confirmed.
- Ensure invoicing is completed timeously (Finance Report) as per agreed KPI
- Update control sheets
- Update STATUS comments
- Resolve deviations with client and inform if costs are involved
- Ensure clients are informed of any deviation that will have an impact on their documentation
- Respond to client queries
Minimum Requirements
- Matric as a minimum qualification
- 2-3 Years experience in a similar position
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of Navison
