Global Market Leader in the high-performance steel industry who deliver customized customer-specific solutions seek a CCM Main Control room shift Eng to perform all activities that are needed to start, stop and operate casters. B.Tech/Diploma – Mechanical/Metallurgy. Minimum 5 Years in both open and close cast practices
Accountabilities:
To take full responsibility for the shift in terms of management of production and quality targets and to ensure the smooth running of the production processes
To take actions against any quality deviation or failure in process parameters or equipment to gather with the shift in charge
To be an expert in control room operations of all casters
Manage, develop and motivate direct and indirect reporting manpower
Monitor, measure, and report on production-related process performance, general issues
To ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to the service department’s
To ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company in line with the companies Health and Safety policy
To work closely with other workstation control rooms
To have an active role in the company continuous improvement plan and suggestion schemes to achieve plans for future growth within the company
Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace and control rooms
Be able to make appropriate decisions while following the company organizational structure
To achieve monthly production target with Zero defects, delays, and accidents in shift
In the event of Emergency conditions:-To act calmly and take correct decisions, Communicate
Effectively with service departments like fire tender, Ambulance ETC. Prepare and
Educate team members on efficient guidelines to be followed in event of an emergency
Problem-solving and troubling shooting skills are used to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems at hand
Interaction:
Maintenance team – To have 100 % machine availability
Melt shop – Planning and achieving shift production targets
Quality Department – Taking feedback regarding product quality and taking corrective actions if found any deviation in quality standards
