CASHBOOK CONTROLLER - CPT (NORTHERN SUBURBS)

SUMMARY:
A vacancy exists in the Finance & Administration Department for a Cashbook Controller reporting to the Divisional Finance Manager. The main purpose of the job would be to ensure the correct and timeous cashbook and petty cash control, as well as general account office duties.

POSITION INFO:

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Claims management.
• Month end reporting.
• Queries and reconciliations.
• Self-discipline, attention to detail, and customer relation skills.
• Allocate sundry payments received on a daily basis, and process of payments.
• Liaising with sundry creditors for statements.
• Monitor delivery of invoices to ensure invoices delivered according to standard operating procedure.
• Implement approved policies and procedures and monitor adherence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 with Accounting (Higher Grade)
• National Diploma in Accounting or BCom Degree

   

EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years cashbook experience in engineering environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word & MS Excel)
• Proficient in a specialised software package (Syspro 8 - Cash Book Module) will be a strict requirement.
