Looking for a challenge off the beaten path? This role is perfect for a hands-on, operationally involved CA(SA) who’s ready to swap the city buzz for mountain air- and still make a serious impact in the world of finance.
We’re searching for a self-starter with 3–5 years post-article experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or production. Someone who can roll up their sleeves, drive operational excellence, and implement the right financial and risk controls- all while keeping reporting rock solid and compliant.
What you’ll do:
- Take full ownership of accounting, reporting, and operational finance.
- Implement and monitor internal controls that actually work.
- Lead month-end closings, reconciliations, and management reporting.
- Oversee inventory accounting, valuations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare audit files and ensure full IFRS and tax compliance.
- Drive process improvement, standardization, and efficiency.
- Use SAP BI (or similar ERP) to turn numbers into insight and action.
What you’ll bring:- CA(SA) registered with SAICA
- 3–5 years post-article experience in operational finance/accounting
- Proven exposure to internal controls, process documentation, and audit prep
- Solid IFRS knowledge and ERP experience (SAP preferred)
- Sharp analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- High integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- A genuine willingness to live and thrive in the middle of nowhere
