SUMMARY:
We are seeking experienced CAD Designers / CAD Technicians with petrochemical experience to support engineering and design teams on industrial and process plant projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and layouts for piping systems, pressure vessels, and plant equipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
POSITION INFO:
We are seeking experienced CAD Designers / CAD Technicians with petrochemical experience to support engineering and design teams on industrial and process plant projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and layouts for piping systems, pressure vessels, and plant equipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed CAD drawings for piping systems, pressure vessels, and mechanical equipment used in petrochemical plants.
- Develop piping layouts, isometric drawings, and general arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Prepare fabrication and construction drawings based on engineering specifications.
- Update and revise drawings in accordance with design changes and project requirements.
- Work closely with mechanical, process, and piping engineers to ensure design accuracy.
- Ensure drawings comply with industry codes, standards, and project documentation procedures.
- Assist with document control and drawing management throughout project lifecycles.
Requirements
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical Draughting, Engineering Design, or a related field.
- 3–7 years experience in CAD drafting within the petrochemical, oil & gas, or process plant industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or similar CAD software.
- Experience producing piping isometrics, vessel drawings, and plant layout drawings.
- Strong understanding of piping components, valves, fittings, and pressure vessels.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
