Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, or Accounting & currently holding a CA or CPA qualific

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client within the financial services industry seeks to employ a CA(SA) with IFRS 16 experience

· Understand the accounting requirements of IFRS 16 (Leasing)

· Interrogate the leasing software (Lease Eagle) monthly to analyse any changes to leases

· Post lease-related journals

· Reconcile all AASB 16 GL balances to Lease Eagle

· Perform other general BAU accounting functions, including Month-end close, GL Reconciliations, journal entries and intercompany reconciliations

· Support the Group Finance Manager and assist other team members with the achievement of finance team objectives and projects.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, or Accounting & currently holding a CA or CPA qualification

· Knowledge and experience (6+ years) in financial accounting and Australian Accounting Standards, preferably within an ASX-listed company or top/mid-tier audit firm

· Exposure to IFRS 16 (Leasing)

· Experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders across both finance and non-financial business areas

· Experience in dealing with external auditors
