SUMMARY:
Start immediately! Multi-National Speciality Chemicals concern based near Kempton Park, has an opening for a Buyer for a limited duration temporary assignment. The purpose of the role is to source materials / services on a regional or local level, manage the supply market in his/her area of responsibility, closely and actively interact with the businesses, manage suppliers, and actively participate in the performance management of the company.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Successful incumbent with have a minimum of 5 years related experience preferably with a multi-national concern. Sold and recent SAP experience essential. Source materials / services in your area of responsibility with given sourcing strategies; participate in the negotiation process and conclude deals in accordance with delegated responsibility; create and maintain contracts, master data on SAP; participate in the execution of agreements with suppliers (QA, QNS etc.); support bundling projects towards supply markets / suppliers; support Lean Sigma / CPX projects ie. as a Yellow Belt or team member; launches new catalogues and implement auto call-offs and framework contracts in SAP; support the category in developing and executing sourcing strategies; conduct market research and proactively find new suppliers and alternative sourcing concepts; monitor market development and supply availability; forecast prices of strategic spend segments and contribute to monthly reports about market developments in the area of responsibility.
