SUMMARY:
Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Buyer who possesses strong attention to detail, observation, organisational and leadership skills.

POSITION INFO:

You will be required to manage the company’s sourcing capabilities ensuring they are directed towards sustained quality standards, material cost and margin improvement. Ensuring on-time availability of goods towards meeting customers’ requirements and standards. This includes strategizing and negotiating with compliant local and international suppliers to acquire cost-effective and efficient deals within a sustainable framework of reducing expenses and increasing margin

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Grade 12
Purchasing / Supply Chain Diploma
4-5 years Buying experience
Both Imports & Local Suppliers
Automotive industry advantageous
Must be thorough and meticulous
Strong Customer focus & service delivery
Strong written and verbal communication

Key Result Areas

Purchase stock for the company (local and overseas)
Ensure correct levels of inventory are stocked and purchased in line with demand
Review and maintain inventory forecast and safety stock levels
Provide internal departments with all product information (ETA, cost, availability)
Maintain accurate purchase prices in the system and buy at cost-effective prices
Accurate order book and Supplier management
