Buyer (Cut Flowers), Brackenfell

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Knowledge of cut flowers and Fynbos
• Management experience in a packhouse environment will be an advantage
• Valid drivers license essential as traveling will be required
• Direct farm deliveries 
• Multiflora auction analyses - compare to current offering
• Shorts analysis for all divisions
• Bouquet recipes management & substitutes where necessary
• Manage day to day feedback from Coastal / Inland Display Managers
• Manage growing programs vs orders
• Driver seasonal product sales
• Supplier visits and reporting back on visits 
• Supplier pricing
• Vase life testing and reporting on outcomes
• Random DC QC checks & Hygiene Bucket swabs
• Sales, waste & shorts review and action plans
• Planned monthly promotions
• Ensure category is profitable
• New product development
• Update specs
• Packaging reviews
• Peak period planning, with farmers and retail (Christmas / Valentine's / Mother's Day / Woman's Day / Spring Day / Secretaries Day)
•  Monthly supplier reviews (Jan & Jul)
