SUMMARY:
Our client in the bulk material handling industry is seeking a buyer to join them in Kya Sands, Gauteng.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Buyer

Geographical area: Kya Sands, Gauteng
Salary range: R20 000 - R25 000 CTC per month

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:
  • Supplier Negotiation.
  • Ordering of Materials from approved suppliers
  • Inventory control.
  • Excellent Communication skills with various departments.
  • Follow-up with supplier deliveries
  • Processing of jobs
  • Good understanding of bulk materials handling equipment and its function.
  • Project purchasing
  • Negotiation skills to work with suppliers and make better deals for the company
 
Minimum qualifications and experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within the Procurement Department.
  • Previous experience with ordering of bearings, motors and gearboxes, Valves, raw steel
  • Minimum N3 technical Certificate in Engineering or Purchasing or Equivalent.
