Buyer - R16 000p/m - Permanent - Pietermaritzburg - Start ASAP

POSITION INFO:

Established animal health care entity urgently needs an experienced individual to join their team. Reporting into the Director the successful Candidate will need to have the stature and confidence to negotiate with suppliers and not be intimidated by sales staff. You will need to be highly organised, pay excellent attention to detail and must work well under pressure. You will work in a team environment as a critical link in the business process. Good communication skills and the ability to transfer relevant information accurately essential. Knowledge of import processes required. Must be able to think ahead and plan for the next 6 months.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with the animal supply chain. i.e. the relationships between veterinarians, nutritionists, farmers, co-ops and vet wholesalers.

Requirements:

• A qualification in animal health – preferably a B degree
• Familiar with and competent with accounting software – preferably Pastel Evolution
• MS Excel advanced skills
• 3 years experience in the above position
• Agricultural or animal health industry experience advantageous
