Butchery Manager

My client, well known within the FMCG Market is looking to employ a Butcher Manager in their Longbeach Mall Branch and/or Tokai Branch.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will be responsible for dealing with customers, running promotions, receiving stock of acceptable standard, and taking weekly perpetual stock take. This position will be responsible for knowing exactly the different cuts of meat. Preferred Location of suitable candidates to reside close to Tokai/Longbeach and/or surroundings, however, location is not the decision maker.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric
• Butcher introduction course or meat technician course. Should be a qualified blockman
• At least 5-10 Years of working experience in retail and factory management
• PC Literate

PERSON SPEC:

• Interpersonal skills to communicate with manager, staff, suppliers and customers.
• Fine motor skills are important as this will enable the butcher to cut meat in the correct manner.
• Responsibility - exerts a high level of effort and perseverance towards goal attainment of fresh meat at low prices.
• Time management to ensure that all varieties of products are ready for customers before the store opens as well as the ability to follow a production schedule.
• Ability to work under pressure to ensure that all varieties of products remain replenished throughout the day.
• Own Reliable Transport
• Must require minimum supervision

Able to work in an open plan office environment
