SUMMARY:
Business Manager - Soft Lines

POSITION INFO:

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Achieve sales and profit goals through development of product, marketing, promotion and advertising execution and overall management of the Soft Lines division for the company. Execute account planning processes focused specifically on Key Retail Partners ensuring integration with the holding company.

REQUIREMENTS

Three to five years’ experience at a major consumer packaged goods, retail or entertainment company in either a brand marketing or licensing role
Sales experience and knowledge of South African retail environment
Product knowledge of any of the various core segments will be considered an asset (i.e. toy, stationery, sporting goods etc.)
Business/Financial acumen – profit oriented, demonstrates an understanding of the key financial parameters and methods used by the business to control costs and to measure business performance.
Excellent project management skills to ensure multi-faceted activities are brought together in an integrated manner to deliver the agreed outcome on time and within budget.
