Business Development Strategy Consultant

SUMMARY:
The purpose of the role is to support the Company Africa president to drive the growth initiative for Africa by analysing and developing new business opportunities, primarily focusing on cross-divisional topics and industry sectors.

POSITION INFO:

Principle Accountabilities;

• Conduct business field analysis (BFA), competitor analysis, and market scans of identified areas of interest
• Support corporate/regional strategy development with regional perspective, in particular macro-economic developments
• Introduce regional perspective into corporate BFAs and new business areas/projects
• Consulting role for all Company Africa operating entities with respect to strategic tools and methods and close cooperation with regional divisions
• Coordination of corporate cross-selling initiative in Africa
• Support generation of additional business opportunities through cross-divisional cooperation primarily in the Company consumer goods, energy and building technology as well as industrial business sectors
• Development of strategy for relevant verticals in close cooperation with Company Africa’s regional and country heads
• Support the Company Africa president in his communication to the global Company board of management and with regard to other corporate matters

 Minimum Requirements;

• 7 years+ experience in leading a global strategy consulting firm
• Previous experience in leading industrial companies on or with the African continent.
• Experience with growth strategies across the African continent,  additional experience with other emerging markets would be an advantage.
• Strong English and French language skills as main languages on the African continent; good German and/or Arabic language skills would be an advantage.

Qualifications

• An Honour’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics/Physical sciences, Engineering or equivalent.
