JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client in the asset finance industry has an exciting opportunity for three (3) salespersons who wants to expand the art of selling and venture into complex solution selling. The company is offering an opportunity to grow and further develop sales competencies like solution selling, complex selling, product training and exposure to sales in an Asset Finance/Asset Management Industry, through a 12-month training programme. 

Job purpose: 

During the course of the programme, the BDM in training will be responsible for attending all scheduled training on sales models, products and processes. The successful candidate will be mentored by the sales managers in different business units across the Group to develop, gain and expand his/her sales skills whilst preforming general duties and responsibilities of a business development (“hunting”) like researching the potential customers company, cold calling potential customers, drafting and presenting sales presentations, attending client meetings, exposure to the credit applications process and other sales related tasks. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Participation in prearranged customised sales training for twelve (12) months.

• Focus on expanding sales competencies to become a successful salesperson.

• Developing new business opportunities through networking and relationship building with new clients as well as developing confidence in selling products or services to prospective clients.
• Learn to analyse the function of sales and learn how the sales market works, grasp of the features, advantages and benefits of the products, services and/or solutions and link the solution to the customer’s specific need, pain or gains.
• Learn to become a all influencing BDM by making recommendations to clients, positive contributing to the decision-making process, communicating with c-suite decision makers.
• Attend and participate in meetings with management and clients to discuss and plan sales goals and/or marketing strategies.
• Attract new relationships with new customers by supporting collaborative sales efforts. Expanding customers base by hunting and supporting existing customers with sales related information about products and/or services.
• Assist salespeople to discover new ways to grow business by pitching innovative and fresh ideas

 

Requirements: 

- A degree in Business, Finance, Sales or Marketing-related

- 1-3 years'' sales experience
