SUMMARY:
We are recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager who has an interest in Fitness.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Business Development Manager is part of the Commercial, Sales Team working closely with your 
teammates nationally and the broader business, based in Johannesburg. Your collaboration and teamwork with the other disciplines will be essential for delivering on our corporate goals. In this role, you and your teammates are responsible for the annual, commercial, team target. You provide solicited 
and unsolicited feedback and contribute to the optimization of our services. In this position you are 
often an advisor to (potential) customers, a negotiator when it comes to selling, a source of information 
for customers and colleagues, a leader to ensure optimal service and a sales strategist. You are expected to be an ambassador and expert on the brand and organisation at all times. You are available and you are committed to working well together.

Requirements:-
❑ Bachelor’s degree working and thinking level supplemented with a commercial or business education
❑ At least 5 years of relevant (sales) work experience
❑ Preferably knowledge of / network in the Fitness industry and / or the (para) medical market
❑ Good knowledge of MS Office and ERP software

 Duties:
❑ Drawing up and presenting a substantiated annual sales plan for the relevant district in collaboration with the other Account Managers. This is based on a territory and customer 
inventory
❑ Actively approach prospects / customers
❑ Responsible for keeping their own product knowledge and developments in the market up to date (macro and micro level) as well as advising entrepreneurs on these developments in the 
market and their application
❑ All administrative actions associated with the position of Senior Account Manager, including the timely and correct submission of quotations, making layout drawings, keeping the CRM program up to date, explaining orders and timely submitting all documents regarding financing constructions for customers, preliminary investigations, etc.
❑ Supplying customers / prospects for organized customer events
❑ Using an overall work structure with a clear division of tasks and recurring substantiated time planning as described in the Sales Manual
❑ Partly responsible for following up debtors, if credit management gives cause to do so
