SUMMARY:
Business Development Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a  Business Development Manager you will be reporting to the Business Development Executive and will be responsible for searching, identifying, structuring, managing and developing strategic partnerships, alliances and commercial deals with Fintechs, Banks and other technology companies, who wish to use the Newland Platform for their business needs.

The role will focus on driving Newland hardware sales into the various markets in South Africa and Africa as well as a focus on growing the base of Business App Products and Services onto the company’s  App Store.

 

The Role Includes

•   Lead the business and the relationship development with prospects and clients. Align objectives, priorities and resources between the company  and them.

•   Source new business development opportunities with high-growth global, regional, or local players across multiple sectors including start-ups, Fintech and payments companies that enable digital commerce, payments, e-wallets, crowdfunding, IoT amongst others.

•   Positioning the companies  Payment Devices as the leader and preferred platform for companion apps.

•   Develop a clear Stakeholder engagement model with the required cadence plan and associated processes for internal alignment.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

•    Minimum of Bachelor''''s Degree or equivalent is essential.

•    5-10 years of experience as a Business Development Manager or related role.

•    Business experience including sales and/or relationship management.

 

•   Willingness to learn and execute effectives sales strategies for new payment products and services.
