We are a leading service provider seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead our Johannesburg-based sales operation.

Key Responsibilities

As the BDM, you will be the driving force behind the performance of our sales team, managing the entire lifecycle of service sales and consultant effectiveness:

• Intensive Performance Coaching & Oversight: Implement and maintain a system of granular, real-time activity tracking for 10 Sales Consultants across various branches, ensuring maximum effort, accountability, and productivity at all times.
• Sales Pipeline Ownership: Full ownership of the collective sales pipeline, from strategic lead generation for services to final deal closure, ensuring consistent pipeline health and accurate forecasting.
• Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, onboard, and manage a team of 10 Sales Consultants, providing on-the-spot coaching, motivation, and constructive feedback to drive immediate performance improvements.
• Target Achievement: Exceed demanding weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets for the services portfolio.
• Reporting & Analysis: Compile detailed performance reports and leverage data to proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, implementing corrective actions instantly.
• Inter-Branch Coordination: Ensure seamless collaboration and standardized, high-quality sales processes across all managed branches.

What We Require

• Proven Leadership Experience: Minimum of 5 years'' experience managing a sales team, ideally in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Services Sales Expertise: A demonstrable track record of success selling services (not products) to the corporate / business to business consumer market.
• High Accountability: An unwavering commitment to direct performance engagement and holding team members accountable for targets and activities on a frequent basis.
• Entrepreneurial Drive: The motivation and discipline required to maximize success within a salary-plus-commission compensation structure.
• Mobility (Mandatory): Must possess a reliable, roadworthy vehicle and valid driver’s license for frequent travel between various branch locations in the greater Johannesburg area.
• Exceptional communication skills in English and a professional demeanor.
• Full Microsoft Office Suite experience
• Grade 12 or equivalent
