Business Development Executive (For BBBEE Verification Agency)

SUMMARY:
A SANAS Accredited Verification Agency is looking for an urgent placement of a Business Development Executive .

POSITION INFO:

Source leads to potential client base and market the client''s services for B-BBEE to potential and existing client base. (Working with a telesales operator where applicable). Manage and take responsibility for achieving Sales Targets for region. Support the Directors/regional manager with input into the development of national marketing strategy and execution of tasks related to national marketing strategy.

ï‚· B.Com or equivalent and/or with 3 years commercial and traceable sales experience to the target market (companies with a turnover between R100m – R1Billion+).

ï‚· Relevant technical B-BBEE and industry knowledge.

ï‚· 2+ years of external sales experience with proven track record.

ï‚· Superior writing and communication skills.

ï‚· Previous project or people management experience an asset.

ï‚· Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.

ï‚· Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.

ï‚· Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.

ï‚· Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.

ï‚· Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.

ï‚· Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.

ï‚· Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customer’s value to the organization.

ï‚· Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services.

ï‚· Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

ï‚· Participates in trade shows and conventions. ï‚· Provides accurate and relevant reports to management in order to track progress and trends. Attributes

ï‚· Able to source leads and follow through to sale and engagement.

ï‚· Able to operate within a legislated environment.

ï‚· Able to work in a team environment to ensure optimal delivery of services

ï‚· Manage client relationships.

ï‚· Prepare Sales Reports for region as required by Regional Manager, covering activities, targets, source, reasons for declines, opposition, trends, etc.

ï‚· Source leads from partners and departments.

ï‚· Responsible for achieving monthly sales targets.

ï‚· Ensure that the national sales strategy is adhered to and followed.

ï‚· Must be hardworking and able to work independently, without daily supervision

Candidate must have excellent inter personal skills and be willing to travel locally and nationally, if required.

Valid SA Drivers licence
