SUMMARY:
Well-established Software development and support services organization based in Bryanston is seeking a Business Development Executive to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing and developing the client base in South Africa and into Africa through a solution-driven approach to meeting client business requirements.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Prepare sales visits and presentations to pitch products and services.
Negotiate pricing with clients and contractors on rental and service level agreements.
Once a contract has been signed, ensure that a client account is created, and the client is billed correctly.
Once an account has been created, liaise with the internal teams to ensure a robust project implementation plan.
Build solid relationships with clients to enhance the sales and customer service experience.
Identify and resolve client concerns.
Build and facilitate sales opportunities for software products, through determining ways to reach new markets and identifying new business opportunities, in both South Africa and Africa to meet sales targets.
Search for new business by cold calling, lead searches, client referrals, web leads, conferencing, and attending trade exhibitions.
Follow-up with potential clients to accurately qualify the prospect and establish their business needs.
Engage with existing clients to explore opportunities for expanding their current product range.
After identifying new opportunities, liaise with the Development and Support teams to propose appropriate solutions to the business needs.
Develop a business case to meet the potential client’s requirements and influence the client to close the deal.

Requirements:

Matric (NSC)
A relevant IT diploma/degree would be an advantage.
A sales and marketing diploma/degree would be an advantage.
A solid software sales background is essential.
Proven sales techniques and technical knowledge to develop business cases, influence potential clients, and close deals.
Sound understanding of customer and market dynamics.
Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
