Kontak Recruitment, IT Recruitment Agency Cape Town, is currently assisting sourcing and recruiting for a Business Analyst vacancy based in Century City, Cape Town. The Business/Feature Analyst should have a strong technical background with SQL knowledge and will be accountable for guiding the clarification of the business requirements, through in-work collaboration with the business stakeholders, and working within the feature team to ensure these are delivered effectively.

Requirements for the Business Analyst vacancy:

Previous experience in Business / Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance.

Degree in IT / Computer Science

Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing

Experience in analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools

Solid experience in writing SQL queries

Basic knowledge in generating process documentation

Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills

Solution Planning and Analysis

Task analysis and evaluating surveys and workshop results

SMART business objectives should be defined for every project and measure how many of the business objectives were achieved.

Carefully defining good solution scope statements is key to defining good requirements.

Conduct an independent peer review of the scope statements and assess a numerical score using predefined criteria.

Stakeholder Engagement

Document any identified required changes and communicate them to the relevant third parties/colleagues.

Project stakeholders should be interviewed to determine their satisfaction with the solution.

Business Process Optimization

Using IT resources at an advanced level to create IT solutions, enabling organisations to better meet their goals.
