SUMMARY:
My client, an established company in the maintenance of buildings, is looking for a reliable, professional and experienced Building Assessment Officer. Offices are based in Pretoria East, however a significant amount of traveling is involved in this position. This is a limited duration contract - own vehicle is essential

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities

A person undestanding the maintenance and value to building issues and construction;
Must be able to asses the condition of a building including:
- The main structure,
- Electrical,
- Roofs,
- Plumbing,
- Floors,
- General stormwater,
- Roads and parking,
- Perimeter fencing/walling,
Able to work in a team but be strong to do work as individual;
Able to work with programs for assesments; (Computer literacy is crucial)
Able to work with loading and working with electronic documentation management;
Able to work with facility managers and executives;
Able to work with the full spectrum of maintenance contractors for building facilities.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Previous experience is essential

Must have a valid drivers'' license and own vehicle

Communication skills are non-negotiable

A presentable, timeline driven and a systematic thinker will fit this position best.
