Building Maintenance Coordinator

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Public Sector has an opportunity available for a Building Maintenance Coordinator to be based in the Midrand area.  This will be a temp position for 3 months.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• NQF level 6 (Diploma) relevant to Building/Facilities Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or any other qualification related to Engineering
  fields (i.e., Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, etc.)
• Relevant qualification in Project management
• Minimum 3 - 8 years’ experience in the Building/ Facilities management industry.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in Project Management.
• Ability to understand Building Drawings
• Strong knowledge about Building Management, Building Maintenance and National Building Regulations
• Sound knowledge of the Procurement process and Contract Management principles
• Sound knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations
• Strong understand of project related risk management.
• Working knowledge of financial principles and practices
• Working knowledge of Bills of Quantities and Construction Contracts
• Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management.
• Ability to manage project projects such as renovations, alterations, and replacement.
• Computer literacy and proficiency (including Microsoft Projects)

• Plan, Coordinate and Control projects and maintenance as assigned by the Building Management Specialist
• Preparing specifications with BOQ and scope of work for tenders/RFQs in order for procurement service/material
• Plan, coordinate and manage resources and operations as required
• Dispatch, coordinate and supervise contractors as required by Building Management Specialist
• Checking that agreed work contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies
• Compile monthly report entailing progress, procurement, finance & risk impact
