JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key performance areas:

Monitor and ensure compliance with building rules and regulations on residential construction sites in the estate (new buildings and major alterations)
Ensure compliance with building plans
Do site handovers and regular site inspections
Address non-compliance with rules in a tactful and professional manner
Pro-actively identify and address problems and issues
Ensure accurate and efficient record-keeping and reporting

Requirements:

Minimum Matric certificate and a tertiary qualification in one or more of the following building disciplines: civil engineering, structural engineering, architecture, building management, construction, building surveying, quantity surveying, or other relevant field
At least 3 years’ experience in a relevant role working with building plans of residential homes
Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans
Tactful, professional, calm, firm and composed under pressure
Able to work independently and as part of a small team
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
Valid driver’s licence and clean criminal record
