SUMMARY:
Pinetown based large manufacturing company is seeking a breakdown mechanic to join their team, must have previous experience in breakdowns , welding and assembly of mechanical parts.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

Minimum 4 to 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing environment
Ability to read drawings and to work under minimal supervision.
Must have a valid driver’s license.

Job Description:

Reading plans.
Assembling of all mechanical parts on a trailer.
Experienced in air systems, valves, electrical, hub, bearing.
Knowledge of welding.
Using a cutting torch, drilling machines and grinding work.
Help with break downs:
Fault finding on all air systems.
Ideally have previous experience with hydraulics .
Fitment of new ABS systems
Knowledge of electric aspects on all trailers
Service on trucks and trailers
Must be available in all breakdown situations.
