Branch Supervisor

We are looking for a Branch Supervisor in Knysna to join a large freight company. You will be supervising the Knysna branch with regards to loading and offloading at the depot, checking freight, clearing freight, safekeeping, and other daily operational tasks. 

If you have a positive attitude, can handle pressing deadlines, are a team player and very meticulous in your work, then you will be very successful in this position.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Computer Literacy (Microsoft word, excel and outlook)
• Excellent timekeeping & time management
• Excellent work attendance
• Available to work late on request
• Attention to detail
• Own transport

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Managing COD books
• Stationery and Consumables Management
• Staff Management (records, salary queries, contracts)
• Asset Management including fleet, fuel, cash, phones, and internet
• Clearing freight
• Daily recon ensuring all freight is accounted for, and carry over is prioritized for the next day
• Fleet Management
• Offloading and loading of freight at the depot
• Identifying waybills and redirecting with it's documentation
• Answering customer queries
• Prioritization of freight deliveries
• Safekeeping of parcels
• Sorting and Weighing
• Airfreight deliveries and collections
• POD Management
