Branch Manager - Logistics (Polokwane)

SUMMARY:
Branch Manager for a logistics company who will be responsible for running the entire branch.

POSITION INFO:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full management of all operations, sales and finances within the branch.
• Management of Drivers and Floor Staff. Including leave and disciplinary management.
• Liaising with Customers and Top Management regarding the performance of the branch.
• Vehicle Management. Ensuring that all Company vehicles and trailers are in a good running order. Ensuring that all vehicles have sufficient staff.
• Management and consistent planning and monitoring of vehicle routes and performance.
• Full management of vehicle documentation including manifests and checklists. Driver PRDP and vehicle COF.
• Full co-ordination of Collections and Deliveries. Ensuring the checking, offloading, sorting and assembling of collected goods in the warehouse is done according to the Company standards and procedures.
• Management of Returns and Damaged stock as per procedure.
• Stacking, marking and addressing of these goods according to the waybill information, if there isn’t a waybill make a waybill for the stock.
• Completion of accurate service reports including the diesel consumption reports, failed delivery report, POD report and management reports. Completing daily debriefing.
• Monitoring and adhering to all Health and Safety requirements of the site.
• Full management of branch KPI’s.

Job Requirements

• NQF LEVEL AS MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: LEVEL 4 EQUIVALENT TO GRADE 12 (National Diploma in Transport Management a Bonus).

   

• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5 + YEARS TRANSPORT EXPERIENCE

• LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: ENGLISH

• DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED: CODE 8 REQUIRED
