Branch Manager

SUMMARY:
Previous Branch Management experience in a technical environment is essential for this position. Strong sales and marketing background with retail and/or wholesale operations knowledge as well as good staff management skills are minimum requirements.

POSITION INFO:
Purpose:
To manage and implement the sales and marketing strategy to ensure that the volumes, revenue, profitability and growth targets are met and sustained in the long term in accordance with the company’s business objectives.
Requirements:
Marketing/Business/Engineering
related degree/diploma
At least 5 years experience in a similar position
The ability to utilise qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to conduct research related to a specific topic
Knowledge and understanding of the principles of business, the application thereof, the opportunities within business and the seizure of such opportunities
Sound knowledge of commodities, sectors and industries in South Africa and their local supply chains as well as their competitors
The ability to interact with people at all levels in the organisation
Main duties:
-  Oversee External Sales Staff, Digital Sales and Branch Staff.
-  Compile and Execute Sales and Marketing analysis and strategy.
-  Manage the promotion of retail and wholesale sales of company products.
-  Manage the communication link between the sales and operational functions within the branch.
-  Manage top level client relations and complaints resolution.
-  Manage the income statement of the branch which includes all income streams as well as expenses.

Level of Authority:
-  Resolve customer issues within delegation of authority
-  Customer contract management
-  Sales strategy and initiatives
-  Planning of departmental daily, weekly and monthly work
-Work within budget in respect of costs and expenses
