SUMMARY:
The Branch Administrator is responsible for all the administrative functions within the branch. On the whole, they are expected to maintain organisation and minimise loss in the branch.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Filing and admin
  • Ensure the office filing systems and requirements are in line with SOP’s
  • Ensure all admin documents are properly processed and filed (physically and digitally) in line with SOP’s.
Stock management
  • Purchasing:
  • Place purchase orders timeously ensuring they are in line with agreed branch ordering levels & schedules.
  • List new products in agreement with the branch manager and procurement department.
  • Receipt & warehouse:
  • Receipt stock deliveries timeously and accurately, ensuring product target GP%s are met.
  • Process returns to suppliers, following due diligence.
  • Manage & maintain warehouse organisation, hygiene & security.
  • Inventory:
  • Manage the branch stock taking process.
  • Make stock adjustments as necessary.
  • Record and manage expirations and redundant stock.

Cash Handling and Control
  • Ensure branch cash is handled and stored in line with SOP’s.
  • Perform timely cash-ups and reconciliations; investigate discrepancies where they occur.
  • Manage, together with the branch manager, all controllable branch expenses.
  • Manage branch petty cash within guidelines.
Point of Sale:
  • Management of the cashiers and point of sale area.
  • Management of online sales, debtors & contractors.
  • Oversee and sign off customer refunds schedules in conjunction with branch manager.
Branch support
  • Co-ordinate and maintain the relevant H&S branch documentation.
  • Co-ordinate IT issues and branch maintenance with relevant service providers.
