SUMMARY:
To be responsible for the Braai Area within the store and responsibilities include but is not limited to cleaning, cooking and serving of food to clients and colleagues.
POSITION INFO:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 / Matric (Minimum Requirement)
- Diploma or Certificate from a culinary/chef school will be an advantage
EXPERIENCE- Previous experience in a customer service position or a minimum of 6 months retail experience.
- Proven experience as a cook and using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware etc.
- First Aid/Fire Saftey courses will be advantagous.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED- Knowledge on various ingredients,cooking techniques and cooking procedures (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
SKILLS REQUIRED- English Proficiency (read, write and speak).
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Ability to setup and maintain daily production schedules in the RTE department.
- Following instructions/recipes in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent customer service.
- High level of energy with strong customer service skills.
- Friendly and be able to work in a team with
- Ability to move around in the kitchen and to multi-task.
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
- Excellent Time Management Skills.
- Ability to work in cold environments.
- Stocktake participation to the highest level due to counting and accuracy the position requires.
- Assist in the merchandising of products with the FIFO principle in dedicated areas in the store.
