POSITION INFO:

My client a leading and well know FMCG Company based in Saldanha on the West Coast requires a Bosun as soon as possible.

This position reports to the Skipper.

Locations: Onboard a freezer trawler

Responsibilities:

• Deck and bridge of a freezer trawler
• Professional deck operation: Ensure a safe and professional deck operation with good stock maintenance of all fishing gear.
• Monitor and ensure a safe bridge watch.

JOB DIMENSION

• Ensure a safe and professional port watch.
• Ensure the vessel is clean in all respects.
•  Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Has wide knowledge in the use of knots, hitches, bends, whipping, and splices for anchoring the vessel
