SUMMARY:
A leading firm in the Financial and Consulting Services sector, is looking for a Bookkeeping Department Manager to join their company in Bedfordview.

POSITION INFO:

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage bookkeepers in the bookkeeping department of an accounting practice.
Ensure that VAT is done timeously and accurately.
Review files at yearend to ensure that financial statements can be prepared.
There are about 200 VAT clients per month across all industries.
The manager needs to ensure proper structured planning for collection of work from clients.
Review bookkeepers work and make sure that the VAT return is submitted and payments made.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Must have worked in an accounting practice and has processed several different sets of accounts for VAT submission on a monthly basis.
Needs to know the ins and outs of SARS efiling mainly VAT and must be able to handle VAT audits.
