About the Role
To maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with South African financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for recording day-to-day financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting processes for various legal entities in the group.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and process supplier invoices and payments
- Perform bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliations
- Manage the full Accounts Payable (creditors) function and prepare payment schedules
- Assist with VAT, EMP201 submissions, and ensure statutory compliance
- Support monthly management accounts, budgeting, and year-end audits
- Prepare payroll information for the payroll consultant
- Maintain fixed asset registers for group companies
Requirements- Diploma or Certificate in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or Finance (studies need to be completed)
- 3–5 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role
- NB: strong bookkeeping knowledge and experience doing creditors
- Experience working with accounting software e.g. Sage and Syspro will be an advantage.
- Experience and familiarity with VAT and payroll processing
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
